Your Friend Promise seeks to curate a sacred space of care to ensure safe and supportive sessions for all who join:
The identities of participants always remain confidential as well as any information related to and discussed in preparation for their respective sessions, during the sessions themselves, and at any point of communication following sessions.
Participants are asked for their consent to participate in Somatics and receive Reiki as each is introduced and explicitly described so participants may clearly understand their engagement in these body-centered practices. Participants always maintain the right to pause or end their session if they desire or need to.
Your Friend Promise does not provide medical care to any participants, animal or human, who join sessions. This includes and is not limited to curing ailments, diseases, or pain or offering guidance such as but not limited to that of a therapist, veterinarian, or other healthcare professional. Your Friend Promise does not assume responsibility for the wellbeing of any participant who joins a session.
Your Friend Promise requires that a supportive adult confirm in writing permission for a participant younger than 18 years old to join, exchanged upon email connection after purchasing. The presence of the adult during the session is not required and only encouraged if it would be supportive to the participant depending on their age, access needs if relevant, and comfort in communicating via and navigating Zoom.
Your Friend Promise maintains the expectation and requirement that participants engage in non-violent communication. Any behavior that is abusive, discriminatory, or harmful in any way is not tolerated. Sessions in such instances are cancelled without the issuing of a refund.
Your Friend Promise dedicates time to prepare for each session with care. Out of respect to the labor required to do so and to all participants seeking to scheduletheir respective sessions:
Each purchased session can be rescheduled twice with notification at any time prior to, during, or after the scheduled time of a session.
A session cancelled altogether (not rescheduled) is refunded in full if notice is received at least 12 hours ahead of the session’s start time. With shorter notice, a refund of 50% of the total purchase is issued. A refund issued in full with such notice is only possible in the event of extenuating circumstances.
Refunds are not issued for completed sessions.
